Dell Vostro Notebooks Available

Dell Vostro notebooks, aimed at business users, are now available for purchase. The new notebook line includes 14.1-inch Vostro 1400, 15.4-inch Vostro 1500 and Vostro 1000, as well as Vostro 1700 featuring 17-inch screen.
These laptops are built on Intel’s “Santa Rosa” notebook platform with the latest Core 2 Duo processors, except the Vostro 1000, based on AMD platform and dual core Turion or Athlon CPUs. Intel-powered Dell Vostro 1400, 1500 and 1700 provide a choice of integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 or dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT and GeForce 8400M GS, while the Vostro 1000 has ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 integrated video solution. These laptops support 802.11n draft wireless standard and come with DVD burners and SATA hard drives.
The Dell Vostro notebook configurations are very similar to recently refreshed Inspiron laptops for consumers. But, the color choices differ. Vostro is black only, while the Inspirons are offered in eight different colors.
Additionally, Dell Vostro ships with Windows Vista or Windows XP operating system, while the Inspiron notebooks come with Windows Vista only.
