Raon Everun Smallest and Lightest UMPC Announced

Korean company Raon Digital has announced its new ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) called Everun, which is claimed to be “the world’s smallest and lightest” device in its class.
Starting at approximately 1lbs (460g), Raon Everun has QWERTY keypad, an auto rotating 4.8 inch touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution, and “ultra power saving” AMD Geode processor. The lightest model - Everun Lite S6 - incorporates 6GB solid state drive, instead of 1.8-inch hard drive with 30GB or 60GB capacity found in Everun Lite H3 and Everun STD H6 models respectively. There is also the Everun STD SH6, which features both 6GB SSD and 60GB HDD. Each of these UMPCs has 512MB of system memory.
Raon Everun has battery life of up to 11 hours (Everun Lite H3, STD H6, STD SH6) to 12 hours (Everun Lite S6) with a larger battery and is advertised as “the first real one-charge-a-day computer”. With a standard battery, it provides 6 or 7 hours of continuous work between charges, depending on model.
This UMPC device provides integrated 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth 2.0, an optional integrated HSDPA modem or WiBro (WiMax 802.16e), as well as one USB 2.0 port, one USB mini-B port, and an optional web camera.
The Everun ultra-mobile PC comes with Windows XP pre-installed.
Currently, there is no official information on pricing, but U.S.-based gadget and notebook importer Dynamism claims that Everun configurations are expected to cost between $600 and $900.
Raon Everun UMPC should become available first in South Korea in late June.
