Dell Latitude D830 Details Revealed

Dell Latitude D830Dell Latitude D830 15.4-inch business notebook based on Intel’s “Santa Rosa” Centrino platform will be offered in two variants ?– with integrated Intel GMA 3100 graphics and with dedicated NVIDIA Quadro video card. As same as a D630, the D830 notebook features wireless N, solid state drive and hybrid hard drive options, Laptoping’s retail sources in Europe say.

The main components of the Dell Latidude D830, except larger 15.4-inch screen with 1280×800, 1680×1050 or 1920×1200 resolutions, are the same as in 14.1-inch D630. The Latitude D830 is built on Intel GM965 and PM965 chipsets, depending on model, and will be offered with Socket P Intel Core 2 Duo processors featuring 800MHz front side bus. The Latitude D830 supports up to 4GB of main DDR2 memory.

Dell’s D830 provides a standard Wi-Fi and an optional wireless N connectivity. There are also Gigabit Ethernet, a 56k modem and an optional Bluetooth.

It has four USB ports, VGA out, COM port, Firewire and PCMCIA card slot, as well as Smart Card and ExpressCard slots, which are not present in D630 model.

Currently, we have no information on notebook’s data storage capacities. There will be Combo and DVD burner options.

Dell Latitude D830 weighs approximately 5.5 pounds and comes with unchanged exterior design of D820. It will be offered with pre-installed Windows Vista operating system.
